I realized how fragile life is today
A kid from my school died Monday morning of a diabetic seizure:(
He was one of my little brother's friends little brother. HE WAS ONLY 14!!!!!:(. I went to the visitation last night. I don't think I've ever been that sad. But what literaly make me break down and cry (and I NEVER cry, expecially in public) was Monday afternoon at school. I was just gettin' in my car to leave after 3rd period (early dismissal). Every day as I leave, a bunch of 8th and 9th graders are always going from the football weight room, across the parking lot, to 4th period. I overheard some of them saying: "Did you hear about Bradley? I heard he was in a diabetic coma" "No way, he was fine at church last night" I knew he had died, because my best friend works in the office during 1st period and he found out about it. When I heard them, I just lost it. I mean, I've had people die in my life. But they had lead a full life. He was only 14, he didn't even get a chance to experiance life :( I ask for you prayers for his family, during this tragic time. Josh |
:( Life is sad, sometimes the worst of things happen to the best of people, and it leaves you asking why? My best wishes, and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Sad reminders
Josh:
How very sad and how devastating for his parents, too. Yes, along the way we'll lose people, many before their time. I have. I can tick off a (mercifully short) list of friends and aquaintances I've lost that were still in their 20's; dead from car wrecks, cancer, weird diseases no one ever heard of. It stinks. Yes it's part of life but it never gets easier, trust me. Life can be short. We all forget that in the routine and worries of the day-to-day blur we all live in but these rare tragic deaths, especially of a 14-year-old, remind us of our mortality and the fact that death is no respecter of persons and just being young isn't a guarantee of getting old. Anything can happen, anytime. Prayers for the family and thanks to you, Josh, for offering us this very personal reminder of both the brevity of life and the preciousness of it, too. Carpe Diem. |
My deepest and most sincere regrets and prayers go out to your brothers friend and family, also to your brother as I know this has to be a hard time for him, please stay close by his side, you too are a good friend and my prayers go to you also, life can be so difficult, and hard to understand....You and your brother , Bradley and his family will have a special prayer from me tonight and I will light a candle for all of you, stay strong and take care of your brother....God Bless......Odie

Hey man i know how you feel, my senior year in highschool on of my buddies was runnin from the cops, (drinkin and drivin, and was on probation) he was doin 110 down this road and killed his lights (it was at night) and misjudged a corner.....he ended up hitting a tree at approx 95 mph....he was killed instantly. i felt really bad because i had gotten in a big argument with him and i never got to apologize for it before he left us.......:(
my prayers go out to all who were effected. sorry. |
:(
Josh,
That's soooo sad!!!! I know how hard that can be. Someone I"m very close to lost his daughter at 13 to cancer. Its hard when someone so young dies. And the family sometimes never really recovers. Just stay close to them and be as supportive as you can. It must be hard being so close to them. My best wishes and prayers go to thier family and yours.... Take Care, Christine |
