VIN # decoder.
I was asked by a friend, if this site had a VIN # decoder for older stangs. He has a 64½ 2894bbl, stock. Red convertible, w/ white top. He got it for $500. He'll get his Vin # emailed to him, hopfully tommorrow.
But does this site have a decoder? And if not, it should. |
E-mail it to me, I'll decode it for ya. Its easy. If its a true 64 1/2 and has a 289 with a 4 barrel, the engine code should be either "D" or "K". My old 64 1/2 with the 289 is a D code.
In 65 the 289 with a 4 barrel Carb (Non Hi-Po model) was designated the "A" code. They dropped the D code at the very start of regular 65 production. |
alright, when I get it, I will do that, plus I'll post it for others too.

www.classicponycars.com has a complete decoder on there site. It is very easy to use.
