More hoods
 

Will a four bbl intake fit under my hood? What do I do if It doesn't fit after I buy everything. This is for my '66.

It should fit no problem but if it doesnt. Buy a Shelby scoop. My buddy bought one for his (yet to be installed) so if the motor and carb and air cleaner is to tall. cut the hole in the hood for hte breather to stick through (which is real cool anyway) then p[aint and install the scoop. Effect - Ram air almost. cut the hole in the hood just large engouh to slip over the air cleaner and your good to go. I believe he got his scoop from CJ Pony Parts. He also bought the Shelby side scoops wich look freakin awesome.

Thats good to know. I might have to buy a new hood anyway if I can't get the dents out. Should I just buy a fiberglass hood, with the hole in it? If it doesn't fit? Or go with a metal hood, and just cut it out?

Ive never seen a fiberhood with a hole cut in it. I have seen a fiber cowl hood for a 65-66 (hint hint hint). But If I were you I'd jsut get a good stock used hood thats not all beat up and cut the hole in it for the scoop.

Ya, I never was a big fiberglass guy. That sounds good. The dents arn't too bad. But they are there, little ones, but there. Looks like someone dropped something on my hood. A little pin hole dent. But it's a sharp one.
