Crashes

some useful info there, when i wrecked in jan. i told the cop my left hand was hurt, he asked i wanted an ambulance, i said no, i thought i had just sprained my wrist, well it's still messed up, i cant pick up anything over 5 lb's, but it's to late to do anything now. oh well just another battle scar:rolleyes: , cya

not a flame on f-bodies but they seem to really fall apart. Maybe thats a good thing like nascar. Something like the eclipse and the gardrail is something youll probably never see again

Accidents
 

Accidents happen, usually always from driver error.

Some cars are stronger in some areas than others but there are many, many variables in any accident and hit in the right spot or in a head-on, any car will crumble and/or fall apart.

Some of that is intentional, it''s called 'the crumple zone' where the car 'gives' (crumples) on impact and the nose absorbs the brunt of the force of the collision, keeping the occupants safer, along with seat belts and air bags.

This doesn't always work perfectly of course as side impacts are still deadly and rear-enders can snap your neck in half or push you into another vehicle at high speed.
That's why some of the worst looking wrecks can have the driver walk away and a seemingly minor collision can leave the occupant dead if he's hit in the wrong place. That happened to a boss I once had; got broadsided by a red-light runner and bled to death before the EMT's got there. He was driving an old Chevette, got hit by a F-150 and never had a chance.

We're all vulnerable whenever we drive, as the 'accident' website shows in graphic detail. Be careful out there.

That makes me want to get a roll Cage in my daily Drive :)
