She is on her last leg...I was driving about 3 weeks ago...And noticed a thing of Blue smoke behind me(buring oil). And then about 2 weeks ago car back fired...over and over...kinda embarrassing. Blew up the power valve...I thought...Joy time for a new carb...can you say 4 barrel..well i didn't get the new carb...got it rebuilt...mom made me rebuild it...and it still was back firing. So I took out the #1 spark plug....half of it is missing let alone covered in oil...we riped the engine apart and3 of my pistons were in shambles..all of the rods weren't straight and a lot of other stuf was going on.we thought that the engine had been rebuilt when we bought it. cause everything checked out. Well it wasn't...and the block is messed up...So the engine is gone..the valve springs lifters and cam...all in great shape...Thank you comp cams...lol...but other then that....she is gone..the trans is great and so is the rear end...the body is straight and just needs paint...new brakes, suspension and all that other good stuff. and the interior is well what you would expect for a 33 year old car...It does have salvaged title...but everything is in order...And mom is making me sell it. We will be droping a new engine in it and selling it for about 4-5k american. My first car...I'm sssssooooooooo sad. And get this...she said the next car you get is between a Chevelle 1970, or a 72 duster...I think I will go with the duster....Found a nice one....but I really don't want it...Its not a 69 mustang...Pray for her...she hasn't even moved for awhile...she still kinda starts...but thats all she has...no more...I don't have the heart...Its like like Old yeller. I can't do that...Oh car God, Please hear my prayer...I need you here with me and my baby throught this hard time. Please if she has to go, let her go quick and easy. And if I do have to sell her let it be to someone that could love her more then I do...I know that is asking a lot. But please God. She deserves the best...(my 1969 Mustang Meadowlark Yellow, hardtop coupe. The best Stallion any stangperson could ask for...)

Damn, sorry to hear that... my stang isn't running right lately, and I haven't had the $$ to do anything to it, so I just threw the cover on it, and there she will sit for a while, until I pay off some damn bills! :(

Sorry to hear about that bud, it's not easy letting go. My mom wants me to get rid of mine. Not cause she is dying, just because I can't really aford her. I owe my dad $7000 :eek: cause he lent it to me for half the car and some of the restoration. I guess the upside of me selling it is that I'll make some cash, + my summer job will give me enough to buy another Mustang. He says we get rid of it, we can look for another one to restore. I'm going to see what my insurance is on a 5.0L and then maybe buy one for just a daily driver. But I don't think I'd be able to part with my pony gone. I wake up every morning and make sure she is ok, and give her a kiss every night. Guess I'll have to see how it goes.

I hope you get to keep it, I know you'd really miss it when it was gone, and it would be so hard to find one like it, I'm sure you know!
