Yea I'm gonna start moding the engine on my 96 stang and i wanna throw on a 70mm throttle body and i wanna know if its possible to change it myself and how much does it cost for a shop to do it if i cant, thanks and is 70 a good way to go?

First, to answer your question, it's a walk in the park, a short walk in the park. A easy mod.

Now secondly I'm going to advise you to not get a 70mm TB at this point. The next mods I would do would be gears, you'll feel a HUGE difference there, and a off-road H-pipe. Both of these mods will give you much more power than a bigger TB. A TB just isn't going to add all that much power at this stage in your mods.

well thanks, i already got the flowmatser mufflers so i didnt really wanna get a off road h-pipe cause in michigan its still illegal i think but people told me its not really illegal anymore but its a $25,000 fine i heard and i'm 19 and make 9.00 an hour and the h-pipe with the cats is like 300-400 bucks and screw that:confused:

It's illegal every where to run without cats, but unless you have emission testing who's gonna know;)

There for sure is no 25K fine, that's laughable.

A whole cat-back adds all of 5hp...maybe. A off-road h-pipe on the other hand, is worth much more, around 20hp.
