I saw that too, but had a different take on it. The way I see it, the GM boys are realizing it's worth it spending money by advertising on a Ford sight to get better customers for their credit cards.

Now, let's read between the lines:

...the GM boys are... ...spending money... ...on a Ford... ...to get better...

THE GM BOYS ARE SPENDING MONEY ON A FORD TO GET BETTER!!!

It's all a matter of perspective.

:)

Take care,
~Chris

....true enough that GM would want Ford business but i wonder if the advertisements on this site are done through one "company" that has a bunch listed through them, so its completely random what ends up on the site and they just cycle them and such....

I guess GM has to have a card because they know anyone buying their vehicals are going to need them!!!!!!!!!

This site becoming an all GM site! That'll be the day! :p

Actually, a large number of ads that appear on the site are delivered via one of our advertising companies (I use a couple different ones). A lot of times companies placing ads on the web do so based on a target "category", like "Automotive". Any site that is listed under that category would then receive those ads. The ads targeting a more generic category, such as Automotive instead of something more targeted like "Makes and Models" or even as targeted as "Mustangs" or "Fords", are less expensive. The more targeted your ad placement the more expensive it is.

Our category placement with our ad suppliers is:

Code:

ALL SITES
  |
  | ----- Automotive
            |
            | ----- Makes and Models
                        |
                        | ----- Mustangs Works

So, we'll get ads targeted to specifically us, and up.

Am I the only one who finds it funny that GM lets you save a portion of your purchases on that car twoards buying a new car. Oh boy, I need some milk, lets put it on the GM card so we can save up for that Oldsmobuick we've always wanted.

Come on now, it's like Discover, only you don't get anything useful for using the cars.:D
