Sad to see them go... Hopefully they will come back eventually. No matter how much rivalry there was, we were still all on the same team!

your right, hate to see them go, but i gotta say, the newer firebirds, look a he---va lot better than the catfish camaro, lol, dang joe your pulling on me, lol, i see your headlight's. heheheh, i really dont care, you can have 50 of my post's, i dont even know, or care how many i have now, l8ter. :D :D :p

I sure am going to miss them, I loved the new Trans-Ams. I think they were close to one of my favorite looking cars that wasn't considered a 'Super' car. I'm sure they will be back though, GM is coming out with the GTO in a few years, and the Grand Prix is going to be RWD. Ford will never loose competition.

Joe- I'm with you, it sucks to see the car go, just like it did for all the other muscle cars. I hear rumors that Ford is bringing back the faclon. Well, a midsize rear driver with an optional v-8. Man that would be cool. Please Bill Ford, can I have a Sprint?

I'll miss them too. They were good customers.

funny the t/a's got better looking & the camaro got uglier, i did like the bird's, dont tell anyone, i wish ford would put out the, ford 49 it's a honey of a car, looks better than the new t- bird imo, i would trade my stang for one in a heartbeat.:D :D :cool:

Honestly, i am not too upset about thses cars leaving. I like the trans am more than the camaro. But they both have had there days. But when i say this peope are thinking "if they had there days,then the mustang has had its days" which may or may not be true. I doubt it i dont know why they are being discontinued. Does any one have sales numbers or another reason as to why they are doing this?

Basically, GM would rather make a larger profit because F-Bods aren't "cutting it".
Due to Mustangs being extremely popular (this is not a cheap shot by the way) with a teenage female crowd, and selling so well, they simply outsold the combined F-Bods by almost twice? I think.
And the other reason? GM is gay. :mad:

I am in nooooo way a Camaro, or Firebird fan, but I did get a little tear in my eye when I heard their death was offical. Plus there is also a small part of me that's laughing my a** off as well.:D I do feel sorry for all the people out there that love these cars. I've always thought that chevy should have stopped making Camaros after 1969, because man those cars got ugly. The last Firebirds look the best I think. I've heard that the reason GM got rid of em is because Mustang sales were more than Camaro, and Firebird sales COMBINED. I can see why nobody would buy a Camaro, cuz man are they UGLY. :confused: Since the Firebird looked so good I don't understand why it didn't sale just as good as the Camaro. Maybe one day we'll see a new Camaro, or Firebird pull up beside us at a stoplight, but for now it looks as if the Mustang is the first pony car on the road, and it looks like it might be the last.

It sucks that they are gone I would rather race a camero any day over a freakin four cylinder rice burner!!!! BUT I have a really good feeling that chevy has something up their sleeve, they cant just get rid of all their affordable sports cars!!!???!!!
Well anyway it sucks and so long slowmaros gonna miss beatin ya!!!!
