Ok finally got to make some passes (2) with my new 331. Keep in mind this is a 9.2:1 comp motor with full interior, stock 'pony' rims, etc.
My first shakedown run was a 13.249 @ 107.34 with a solid 2.188 60' :D My next and final run was a 12.877 @ 108.41 with a better, but still crappy, 2.028 60'. I'll be heading to Norwalk in a couple weeks for a closed tuning session where I'll be dropping my front sway bar (finally!), bolting on a friend's set of lightweight wheels with skinnies up front and DR's out back, and icing down everything. I'm hoping for some 12.70's or even 12.60's @ 109-110 mph!!! Wish me luck. E |

Congrats, |
Thanks guys! It took forever to get here, but I'm finally in the 12's.
Thanks again. E |
Good show
Good show Eric. 12's are nothing to sneeze at for a street driven car. Glad to see that all that hard work paid off. I'm afraid that a bottle or S/C is the only way I'm gonna get there.

HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!
You earned it, man :D I will live fast vicariously through your lead foot :p |
Nice eric, Im sure with some tuneing there should be atleast 111mph in that motor.
What intake and cam and heads are you running again? Skyler |
Thanks Belle and Sky.
Skyler, I've got TFS TW heads with some porting (272/206 @ .500) and the cam is a Steeda #19 with .516/.516 lift w/1.72 rockers, duration @ .050 is 220 intake and 226 exhaust. The motor has a little over 600 miles on it now and is getting stronger. I'm hoping with the lighter wheels, sticky DR's, maybe some cooler weather and a chance to fiddle with tuning at Norwalk that I'll see a 12.6x @ 110 *fingers crossed* E |
