Mustang GT seats
 

Hello all!

Could anyone help me please? I am trying to shave a few pounds off the weight of my 1990 GT. The seats seems like a fairly hefty item and was wondering what they actually weigh, does anyone know?

I am looking to replace them with a pair of Cobra Le Mans seats that weigh just under 31 lbs each.

I dont know if fox seats are the same, but the seats in my GT are like this:

The backseat: 40lbs total

The front driver power seat: 66lbs!!

The front passenger seat: 55lbs.

I just put a set of SN-95 seats in my Fox. While I was swapping them out, they didn't seam to be 50 or 60 lbs to me :rolleyes: But any weight reduction is a good thing. Put that pony on a diet :D

Mine weren't that heavy either
 

Mine only felt like they were about 25 pounds, if that. I did not take the seat tracks off though. Take care, Keith

I think the SN95 seats are heavier than the crappy little "clothed plastic crap" that came with FOx bodies. I do somehow remember the ease at THROWING THEM IN THE DUMPSTER! LOL... :D
