2 Mustang Guys and My Wizdom Teeth Being Pulled Out

Well I went to go have my Wizdom teeth pulled out today and the dentist that was pulling them out drives a '67 Convertable with a 289 in it. I had seen it when I first went but didn't know at the time it was his tell my mom seen him driving it. So I brought a picture of my car to show him today and we were talking and they were injecting all these needles into me and hooking me up to all these tests... and he's looking for this part for his console and I was about to tell him where he can get it but then I had got knocked out. It was pretty funny, I don't remember nothing of it. All I remember was just talking to him and then waking up in another room with 4 less teeth and really messed up. :D I get to see him next week so I'll tell him then. lol

Just my funny story of the day, I felt alot better knowing a Mustang guy was pulling them out, just wish I could of talked to him for abit longer. lol :D

Actually surpising I'm still feeing fine and it's been 12 hours. But my face is still numb. lol =) I just hate the fact I can't eat solid foods. :( I'll see how I feel come morning. I did get Tyanol 3 so those will kill the pain real quick but I'm going to try not taking them if I don't have too... I guess I'll have to tuffin' it out. I should be fine but from what others say it's pretty painful afterwords. I'll let you know tommorow how it goes.

YA, IT SUCKS!

YA, I had 2 impacted out of the 4 and ended up w/ a drysocket...Percodain was my friend for 2 solid days...I"ll never forget that night...(this was MANY YEARS AGO!) about 15 to be exact. I was wiped out on Pain killers and lethargic on the couch...that was the first time I ever saw Andrew Dice Clay on a Rodney Dangerfield special! Funny again, the things you remember! :)

Glad your feeling okay, just be careful when you start eating too, you dont wanna get any CHIPS or anything lodged in those holes!!!!!!!! :)

Wheres the Head Dentist??????

This sounds like a good question for REV....;)
correct me if I"m wrong REV, but isnt it where the nerve is exposed after the tooth is removed? All I know is it hurt like hell!!!!!! Dont know if its preventable, or just something that happens to some people...

Eek... I'm hoping that won't happen...
My face is still froze almost 12 hours later. This is crazy, it's mostly the front of my face so I think I should be fine... I'm hoping. But I will find out tommorow morning or threw the middle of the night. Hopefully everything is ok.... :D

Thanks again,
well I'm off to watch some Jay Leno and then to sleep... I'll sleep threw the pain hopefully. :D

TNT :D

I only had one TNT but it lasted 6 days ... I had darvon ... it never once stopped aching for 5 days. I was in the Army so they just said buck it up and go. I still have nightmares ! lol

Oh and Mach1 you get a dry socket by knocking the blood clot out of the hole where your tooth use to be then bacteria gets in and it hurts like HE** ... so don't smoke or do anything that causes you to suck !

Capri306 10-21-2002 11:09 PM

Wow man. That sounds like what I went through last spring: I had a total of 8 teeth pulled, and they weren't tiny s.o.b.'s either! One of 'em grew in 180 degrees (twisted) from where it was supposed to be, and the roots were all like 3 times as big as the tooth they were attached to. Thank goodness for Percocet and lenient Calculus professors! (Uhh, I can't take that test, dude, I'm like, totally out of it....)

Just one bit of advice: keep your mouth clean, because if you don't, I can assure you an infection is a LOT MORE PAINFUL!

93calcobra 10-21-2002 11:10 PM

you can get a dry socket by smoking, and sucking through a straw which is ten times worse than getting you teeth pulled i only know this because at one point i used to work in the dental field glad your extractions went ok though seen some really nasty stuff

My dentist, the evil pain giver, drives a Dodge dually to work. A tad fast I might add. Payback is a mother.

Both my sons had their wisdom teeth removed this year. One did it because he heard that the Marines did it for you if they were showing at all. I was thinking this was a war story but he tells me that it's true. They yank em and give you a day's bedrest and back to the salt mines. With all the trouble they had afterward, I can't imagine getting one day's reprieve from boot camp with that much misery. Keep taking the drugs. . .if the level in your system gets too low, it'll take forever to get back the effects.

1969Mach1 10-22-2002 07:59 AM

Well I'm awake now, and was glad to read all this helpful information. =) Yeh I was told not to smoke (don't anyway) and not to drink out of a straw so I didn't aswell. All the numbing as gone away and it just feels like abit of pressure but it's not hurting and I'm going to try to stay away from the painkillers if I can. I'm going to go try to find my teeth he pulled out and take a picture. =) I have every tooth I've lost from when I was little. My mom saved them all for me. :D
