Need your prayers!!
 

Well today at 11:00 got the call that nobody wants to get from my sister. she has been at hope hospice with our mother who has been fighting Cancer for 2 years now but it finaly started to get the best of her and she said that the time was getting close so i hauled *** there and have been there for 9 hours. they have her on morphine to help keep the pain down and she can't talk she just mumble but is alert and responds when we talk to her and turns her head when someone talk to her.

I feel so damn helpless. she always took care of me when i needed her and now that she needs me all i can do is sit there and watch her and hold her hand, tell her i love her.

so please take a a minute to say a prayer for us.

mike i misunderstood your -pm, omg im so sorry, man, im with you 4 years ago, oct 16 - 1998, it took my mom 18 hours to pass on , i begged her to give up for 5 hour's, my prayer's & odie's prayers are with you & your family, man i dont know what to say. call me if you need to, pm - me for our phone #. :( :( :( :( :( :(

I'm sorry Mike. Just keep spending as much time as you can with her. I'm not the praying type either, but I make exceptions for real reasons. Be greatful she gets to see everyone she loves, so many people don't get that last opportunity.

Thats all a parent needs Mike .... nothing you could do that would make her happier right now.

I hate seeing this as I know what your goin through.The only thing you can do bro,is to let her know you were there beside her,she knows you love her,stay by her side and never forget her during the better days of her life.

Heaven is a wonderful place!

When the Lord calls her, rejoice that Heavens loving arms will carry her home!

We are all family, you our brother, she our mother. I feel yours and everyones pain.

I'm so sorry. I had no idea...You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers....just be there, thats the best thing you can do.. One thing for sure....Life is uncertain. Live it to the fullest. And know that your mom knows that your there and knows how you feel...just talk to her. That is all she needs now is to be surrounded by the ones she loves the most....

My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you and your family. I understand how you are feeling. What you are doing by being with your mom and holding her hand is the best thing that you can do. As a mother thats what I would hope and wish for. That my children be by my side.
She is going to a much nicer place with God. He will take care of her and her pain will be no more..I am here for you if you need someone to talk to. You hang in there and make her proud. Which I am sure she already is of you now..Again my prayers will be with you and your family...Hugs Odie

Mike, I went through this as well. It's good that you're there for her, keeping her as comfortable as possible. She's on her way to a much better place with no pain. Take care man, we'll be thinking of you! :(

My prayers are wish your mother and family. I wish you the best buddy. Just hang in there, and although you may not be able to do much to help her, her knowing you are there is plenty for her. Don't give up and stay strong for her.

Absolutely. I am glad you are able to spend this time with your mother and that she knows you are there. It also helps to have the support of a sibling during this.

I'm sorry to hear that things have turned for the worse, & I am very glad you can be there by her side with your sister. I pray she has no pain & if it is her time, she rests eternally with all of our lost relatives & friends.

My prayers are with you and your family. I watch families go through the same thing every day (I work in an ICU) and it's never easy even when expected. Just be sure to spend as much time with her as possible. I pray that she goes peacefully and comfortably. Take care. Melisa

Thnx everyone!! it looks like she is tougher than we had figured her to be. we have a d.n.r order there which means no machines to keep her alive cause thats what she wanted and she heard the nurse and us talking and even said "no machines" they have her on a morphine bag and we can give her a lil pump if she needs and that has made her much more calmer and relaxed. we've all talked with her and told her that we love her and that she can let go and join the rest of our family that has passed.

we may be poor moneywise but when it comes to friends my mom is richer than bill gates!! she had people that worked for her over 5 years ago stop by and say hi and reminice about the crazy thing they did at work.

they have a computer in the hospice room there and i have been peeking in here without having to sign in but i saw the pumpkin post and couldn't wait to get home to reply to it. :D :D

mike, your mom is still in our prayer's, sound's like she is hanging tough, you know it all come's down to that for all of us. :)

Ya know....it's when I read threads like this...when members here are dealing w/ some of the most crucial, upsetting, and life changing times in thier lives, and everyone is so supportive and sincere and have the abilty to lift someones spirits and support them.
It does my heart good to know that I am a part of such a wonderful group of people...although most of us have not met in person....You guys are the best!! I really mean that. Just wanted to say so...:)

Mike...you sound very at peace and at ease, and that makes me feel good..You are a great guy, and I know your mom is very proud of you! I will continue to pray for you and your family and just know that there are prolly thousands of others here that are as well....
