Money...

Okay,
The test post inspired me.

Question: On your best or only Mustang, how much do you figure you have spent? Money and man hours?

This is just a good chance for me to vindicate myself I guess.

I have had my convertible for 4 1/2 years and have spent over $16,000 including blower. Not alot but still, jeez.

And I still have lot of polishing and painting to do.

And they say crack is a bad habit.

That's not bad. I learned 16 years ago to stop keeping track. When I had my '69 Chevelle SS396, I kept every single receipt, and documented them in a ledger. I even kept receipts for the small stuff, like oil and filters. After 2 years, my ledger totalled over $5k, and I hadn't done schit to it! Well, at least it seemed that way. I stopped keeping track right then and there. Good thing, too. The following year is when I built the race engine for it. lol.

Take care,
~Chris

I do the same thing...the folder is freaking huge. every receipt, phone number, etc...
I think I'll put mine away too...if the wife found it, damn.

I actually sat down and figured it out not too long ago....I've got about 11K sunk into Topless. It does not look like it, but Its there! God, thats scary. If I ever wreck it, I'm out of luck and a **** load of money. I'd never recoup out of Ins. whats in her much less the Time and the Blood, Sweat and Tears! :(
You saved all your reciepts....that GREAT . Wish I could say I did the same
TNT :D

True, but you can't put a value on all that Topless has done for you, either. From being a form of therapy, to the joy you get when someone admires it at a show, really makes it, and all the time you've put into her, priceless, IMO.

But what do I know?

:)

Take care,
~Chris

This is something I really don't want to consider, given that I might just buy myself a '65 for my birthday.

OMG. Damn, Mike. I just checked your profile to see when your birthday was, and it shocked me. I know how old you are, but seeing the actual date just messed me up. I remember vividly the hangover I had the day you were born. That is just too damn scary.

Wow.

I need a drink.

BARTENDER!!!

I have had Sally for a little over three years now. She was bone stock when I bought her. $26,000 dollars later:( ... she is what you see before you. That price includes buying the car and does not include little stuff like brakes and oil. Only performance parts and body/paint.
