93 Merc Sable auto tranny problem
 

Didn't want to put this in windsor tech, since it has nothing to do with mustangs.

93 Merc Sable, rebuilt 3.8 V6 (less than 200 miles), 4 speed auto. The car accelerates fine, and shifts through the gears fine. 1, 2, drive, and then when i take my foot off the gas, overdrive. but, once i touch the gas again, it immediately bypasses overdrive and goes straight to drive. If I am going 55, overdrive puts it at 1800 RPM, but if i touch the gas, it will free rev (as if i'm in neutral) to 3K RPM, where it engages again in drive. Any one ever seen this? Tranny fluid was flushed, but after the problem started, so that's not the cause. I thought it was the solution, but no such luck.
