"Racer Safe" Nawwssss

Look at the new safe nitrous kits for the ricers.

OMG. That is just plain rediculous. Gotta love that 1.6 second blast of instant power!! I also wonder what kinda PSI they're running in those "mini" bottles. Haha...some funny stuff.

Oh, and the manufacturer has it right, though...at 19.99 for 5 little bottles, they'll be comin' back for more real soon.

Also, did anyone see a nozzle? I think it may be the inflation needle on the lower left (like the one used for basketballs and footballs). Gotta love that precision delivery of nitrous. There's a reason kits come with all those high dollar components.

Morons.

-Theirs
-Ours

- Dangerously large amounts of NO2 sprayed to damage engine
- Small doses to prevent engine damage (what kinda hp gains?)

- NO2 mixed with Sulfur Dioxide (so??)
- 100% pure Nitrous Oxide, no cheap additives

- 90% of system comprised of useless electronics (solenoids are usless  )
- No electronics, to be able to sell our kit affordably

- Huge 100 lb. bottles (huh????)
- Disposable tiny cartridges

- Hundreds to refill bottle when empty (what????)
- Throw out the cartridge

- Reassemble entire nitrous oxide system when taking out bottle to get it refilled (WTF!?!?!?)
- Open the Injection Tube, take out the used cartridge, and throw it away!

- Highly flammable and dangerous (that just wrong!!!)
- No sulfur dioxide! Not flammable!

- Needs to be professionally installed, very expensive (wrong again!)
- Installs in your driveway with a few simple tools!

- Costs anywhere between $700-$4000 (you get what you pay for)
- $169.00 plus FREE SHIPPING

....BOY, have they really got something there! That's too bad they've got their FACTS all screwed up.. big time!!!

I wonder if they know that is N2O and not NO2? ...probably not, they just call it Nawwsss (nos)

I feel sorry for the dumb SOB that falls for this... no, wait, I don't!!!

I just HAD to email them and tell them what I thought. Here's what I wrote
"I was linked to your website through a mustang message board which was poking fun at your "safe" nitrous kit.

I don't know where you get your information from, but you dont have the slightest idea about nitrous oxide. You must have watched the fast and furious 1 too many times.

First of all, a typical nitrous bottle is a 10lb bottle, which means it can hold a capacity of 10lbs of nitrous. The bottle itself weighs right around 15lbs, for a total of 25lbs.

Second, the cost of nitrous is anywhere between $3-5 per pound, which would cost (at the VERY MOST) about $50 to have filled.

Third, you do NOT need to disassemble the nitrous kit to refill the bottle. Only the bottle needs to be removed. Just unhook the feed line, and the bottle bracket and take it to get filled, thats it!

Fourth, the sulfer dioxide in nitrous is put in there to stop idiots like you from inhaling the stuff to get high. The stuff you get at the dentist's office is of a VERY small amount of actual N20 (thats nitrous oxide, not NAWSSS). I'm suspecting atleast 30% of the people that buy your product will attempt to inhale a small amount, and it will freeze their lungs and kill them, and YOU will be responisble.

Fifth, nitrous oxide is NOT a flammable gas. Did Vin Diesel teach you that?

sixth, 90% of useless electronics huh? That just made my claim of you being an idiot that much more truthfull.

I can go on and on about this, but you will continue to be a dumbass thats out to take peoples money, and then kill them. Are you sure you aren't part of a tobaco company?

Feel free to email me if this made you upset in any way, because I will have a laugh at any attempt you make to justify this product.
Or you can email me if you would like to learn more about how nitrous actually works.

Thank you for your time,
Drew Lyons
drew.lyons@rose-hulman.edu"

Hopefully they will respond:D

NotchJohnson 12-06-2002 03:11 PM

Excellent email man. Be sure to post the response. John

That is an excellent email, but you do realize the statement above is false, right?

fiveohpatrol 12-06-2002 03:45 PM

ultraflo 12-06-2002 03:48 PM
