how to change .mov to mpeg or avi?
Personally, I prefer quicktime, but not everyone has it, and I want to share some movies from my digital camera online, and it only takes .mov movies.
Is there anyway to change the file format? I've tried just renaming the file from movie.mov to movie.mpeg, but that doesn't work. Also, is there an easy way (maybe with quicktime?) to compress the files? thanks, -drew |
Alot of the time it defaults on one or another when you save it to disk.
Maybe in the properties of the software you can change the way it saves it. But then again I don't know much about these oversized spell checkers:confused: |
QuickTime ROCKS! But Uncle Bill doesn't want everyone to know. You can export it to an avi file, but it will be much larger that way. I put together two 5 minute sprint car videos, and in QuickTime, they were 13.5 megs each, but as an avi, they were nearly 40 megs.
Just post a link to the QuickTime download. By keeping it a .mov file, you're saving time and space, and getting better quality. IMHO. Take care, ~Chris http://www.ricehatersclub.com/videos/sprint2.2.mov http://www.ricehatersclub.com/videos/PorterWin.mov |
I use Adobe Premier.. it converts everything.
You can probably get it off of Kazaa, it's pretty expensive to buy. Works like a charm! :) |
