The article said it has a "detuned" version of the GT(40) 5.4. Only 450 horses.

I'm working on posting a complete article on the car now. Stay tuned... I'll post the link as soon as I get it up.

Yes, it's the same supercharged 5.4 from the GT-40 Replica. They said "detuned"...wow, er... "Oh Wow", as Bill Cosby said about the original Shelby's on his old comidy LP. Now this may be a Mustang site, but if I were one of the few blessed with a "Money is never a concern" life The Ford GT would be the ride for me. but the new Shelby would deffinatly be in the same garage.
Today's History lesson: LP's were 12" ceramic/plastic disc's that played sound on something that was called a record player or turn table for the youngsters here. (I've honestly meet people under 30 who did not know this) |
Re: Anyone seen this yet? The new Shelby
I want one :( Anyone got 50-60 grand I could bum? I dont know how much it'll cost, but rest assured, any leftovers would go to a good cause...making it faster :D
Are the're any pics floating around of the rear? I'm curious as to what changes were made on that end. (gotta make sure the ricers and Chebbie guys have something nice to look at, lol.) J |

Man, this really has me rethinking about building my 351W stroker for my notchback. Mebbe I should just save the wing-wangs to buy one of these.
/ponders Oh wait, I'm a poor college student. How silly of me. Fulcrum: I totally hear you, regarding LPs. I'm 24 and I'm a HUGE fan of vinyl (analog always sounds better, imo), so I think it's mostly a matter of convenience and marketing why most have abandoned the classical audio media. I still like playing my Led Zeppelin 4 album for my friends who've never heard "Stairway" played in reverse. :D Sorry, I didn't mean to digress from the thread topic, but it caught my eye. Dan, I can't wait to read the article. This incarnation of the Mustang is really turning things around for Ford, it appears. Let's hope we keep seeing more and more "flavors" such as the Shelby as time goes on! |
