Ricer selling his car

Check out this ad for a 300ZX "twin turbo". Look at the cheesy hood stick on vents and try and understand the ricer "language". I just found this amusing.

site: http://seattle.craigslist.org/car/111336446.html

also, if you didn't know, craigslist is a great place to find stuff that people sell locally for under ebay prices (normally).

Stock vs Stock, that car will run with any production Mustang GT ever made, and trounce most of them. The 300ZX TT is no ricer. It's a high performance sports car meant to compete with the RX-7, Supra and NSX.

The main drawbacks to the car are weight, seating capacity and expense (both in purchase and insurance).

With twin turbochargers, the late model 300ZX's were more than capable of a 14 flat at 100mph or better with a decent driver in bone stock form. Though the cars don't respond quite as well to modifications as the Supra, it still doesn't take a fortune to get them into the high 12's low 13's.

The "stick on hood vents" are modeled after the Ford Escort Cosworth rally car's hood from the mid 90s, and according to the sellers extremely poor grammar, are probably part of a full body kit.

Though the owner appears to be useless, and the car is likely in need of dire attention from somebody that can fix everything the owner has likely screwed up, I don't understand the disrespect for what is absolutely a sweet ride (body kit not included in that observation by me)

Incidentally, $10k for a late model twin turbo 300ZX isn't a bad price from what I've seen, so long as the car is in good shape with lower mileage.

I'm not disrespecting the car itself, those are decent and very fast cars, i was making fun of his grammar and the things that he's done to the car to make it "ricey". I don't care how fast a car is, if you add cheap stick on vents (not functional - ugly), wings, poorly constructed body kits, stickers etc. in my opinion it is ricey, whether it's fast or not. In this case the thing that made me laugh was trying to read the sales pitch, i'm sure the car could easily be made tasteful, but the guy is what i'm making fun of.
