Sad Sad Day......
I always knew this day would come but I still wasn't ready for it.
I had to sell the mustang. My wife and I just bought a new house and work just came crashing down to a hault, so it was time to get rid of my toy. The worst part of it all was that a father bought it for his fifteen year old daughter. My wife and I said the same thing "we'll be reading about or seeing her on TV after she wrecks the car." But I got the money I needed for the house and to pay off the extre bills. I just feel like my best friend moved away...... |
Re: Sad Sad Day......
Please accept my condolences.
I sold my '90 LX 2 years ago, after owning it since it was brand-new, so I know how it feels. It wasn't a need for money but a need for a more 'practical' car that motivated my decision to sell. I refused to sell it to the first would-be buyer, as he wanted it for his 16-year-old son. I just couldn't do that as I knew, as you did, what trouble an inexperienced driver can get into with a 5.0, from speeding tickets to a fatal accident when they lose control of a car that doesn't respond to stepping on the gas pedal anything like the lazy, four-cylinder grocery-getter that they learned to drive with. In any case, it's always a tough decision to sell your 'Stang. Try to enjoy the memories, at least. |

Re: Sad Sad Day......
I feel for you. I was lucky my house and two kids put stop to all the modifications to the car even renewing the registration was put on hold. But I stil have the car... sitting in the garage, I start it up every once in awhile but its there waiting for me to get time and money.
