Project: 2ND COMING Completed!!!

1 Attachment(s)
The floor is dry of oil and clean of sanding residue, the tools are clean and back in their tool chest, and my mom can park her minivan in the garage once again.

The car arrived in my garage on September 29, 2001. It's been a long and hard 9 months, but the time has finally arrived.

2ND COMING is almost finished. Just a few finishing touches need to be made and it's ready to roll. Next Friday night there is a "Cruisin' Night" sponsored by a local radio station and that will be the first showing of my car to the world.

Friday afternoon I am driving my car to the spot it was wrecked at. I'm going to park it in the same spot it came to rest on it's top, and take a couple pictures of it. Then I'm going to pull out into the street and most likely do a hairy asss burnout.

I promised pictures, so here they are. I apologize for the quality, they were taken in my driveway last weekend during her first bath. I used our digital camcorder's "Still Photo" thing and the quality isn't the best. I'll see if I can get some better ones later this afternoon.

It's already been NINE MONTHS since you wrecked?!?!?

Damn! Time flies! That's so hard to believe, but it's true. Wow.

The car looks great! You have put a lot of time and effort back into it, and it really shows!

Need more pics!!!

:)

Take care,
-Chris

Wow guy looks real good! What size rims and tires you got on the front and rear of that baby? I want to put wider tires and I have the traction bars too but I don't know how big I can fit in the wheel well without them sticking out. She looks real nice though, reminds me almost of mine. :D I just have the tach on the hood and my scoop is black, ohh.. and I got window louvers.

§am.

After I worked on it for a few hours this morning I washed it again and parked it in my driveway and took a few more pictures of it. I played around with the settings on our camera and got a little better detail out of it.

1969Mach1- I plan on buying the rear deck spoiler, front chin spoiler, and the original style rear window louvers (not the cheap repro ones) someday. But right now my wallet (and savings:rolleyes: ) is pretty dry, so I don't have the $800 or so for those 3 parts. The rear window louvers are nearly $600 itself!  :(

My rim/tire sizes are: FRONT-15X5.5 rims, 205/60/15 BFGoodrich Radial T/As; REAR-15X8.5 rims, 295/50/15 BFGoodrich Radial T/As (I'm getting BFGoodrich D/Rs when these need to be replaced)

PKRWUD- It's been about 10 1/2 months since I was in my wreck, actually! August 8, 2001 was the day....

More pics.....

Those last 2 were pretty similar, but the first has more of an angle on it.

That's a sweet ride man. Get some action shots, or videos with that camera. You can speed up the DR getting process with a couple of Josh style burnouts. Just make sure to document it.

What an awesome car. It is so rewarding, doing a restoration yourself. You should be proud!!

Thanks!

Thanks everyone! The hard work really has payed off....I'm finally satisfied with it!

Belle- It is still yellow, but just a different shade. I was going to match the colors, but this was the best they could do. The old paint color isn't available anymore. I actually like this color a lot better though. It does look kind of orangish in the pictures, but in real life it looks a lot better. When it's out in the sun it looks absolutely amazing, and it was kind of cloudy when I took the pics. It brightens WAY up in the sun!

I will have to get some sound/video clips of it on here. It sounds MEAN with the different style tips I put on it. It changed the tone quite a bit. It's a lot lower and throatier now.

I'm definitely going to be hitting the drag strip this summer and I'll have my mom or dad video it. Then I'll post them for all you guys!

Thanks again!

Time to go bleed the brakes!
