Default Project: 2ND COMING Update!

Body work has begun on the fastback now. All the mechanicals are completed so it's on to the next step!

The lower flange of this quarter panel was a little bit rusty. I didn't want to take any shortcuts so we cut out the section and replaced it with a piece from NPD.

You can see the Currie tags on the axles of my rear end. And the spare Ford 9" sitting underneath the car.

Looking nice man, after your done yours you want to start on mine? lol hehehe... I don't have to much work on mine. I'm going to get new door skins, there is some bondo in the back 1/4 pannel so I'm getting that taken out cause you can tell where it is, acouple little dints fixed up and she'll all be ready for painting come spring. But I'm taking it to a shop to get the body done on her. I don't trust myself with her, + not enough room in my garage.

Default Very Nice!

That is one of my all time favorite Mustang body styles. Are you going to paint it yellow or are you leaning towards a different color this go around?

You should take the short trip down I-80 this summer to the Big O. We could go cruising and check out some of the hot spots!

Seriously, we could possibly plan this the weekend that HPMotorsport has their open-house. Or we could possibly hook-up around Kearney. I've got a lot of Family in that neck of the woods and if I remember correctly, Kearney has one of the biggest Cruise weekends in the Midwest.....

It's going to be the same color of yellow that my old Coupe was. I have thought about maybe going with a different color, but the yellow Stang was kind of my trademark around this town.

That would be really cool to come down to Omaha. But I think the Kearney idea is even better! My dad and I were thinking about putting my car on a trailer and taking it down to race it in Kearney at the track. Maybe you can meet us!?!? We planned on going to Bandimere Dragway in Denver for Mile High Nationals, but with a couple of these other things maybe (MW gathering and this!) going on, we might have to change our plans around.

My girl is named Madison. My coupe was named Christine. Someday I'll have another coupe and she'll be Christina.

Default Track in Kearney?

I had no idea there was a 1/4 mile track in Kearney. I guess I'm not too surprised. Do you know where it's located?

I actually grew up in Axtell, it's about 15 miles south of Kearney. I doubt you've heard of it, there's only about 700 residents in the whole city. We moved to Omaha when I was in grade school.

Meeting in Kearney sounds great. It gives me an excuse to stretch the pony's legs. Too bad it's still technically winter, I'm ready to go (we've had a total of two snowfalls this winter and the temp was in the upper 50s yesterday - I actually had the Stang out for a while yesterday). What's the status of the website gathering? I stopped following the thread a while back (too long).

On a different note, I know you'll appreciate this.... David Horne from Central High here in Omaha pledged his commitment to the Huskers today at a press conference. He's a stud RB that reminds me alot of Ahman Green. I saw him play in a game this year and he had 270 yards rushing and 3 TDs. This kid is legit and may start as soon as Diedrick is gone!

Yeah I'm about 90-95% sure there is a track in Kearney. I have no idea where it is located though. You're right, I never have heard of Axtell.

We got a couple inches of snow last night. But it's already almost completely melted. Sweet weather....

That's cool about the Horne kid committing to NU. I've never heard of him. I'd love to play for Nebraska, but I don't have the size. I hope next season goes good for me. I'll be a 3rd year starter at my school along with the quarterback and running back. We're just class B though.
