Default quad shocks (to have or not to have)

i was wondering if the quad shocks were nesasarie for a drag only car cause my tires are rubing on them a lil bit . my car makes around 480 rwhp and by removing these will my launches heart anything. if removing them is a bad idea what are some alternitives

Turn the shock upside down, that should help out the rub.

The quad shocks are there to prevent wheel hop. If you're not replacing them with something better, you're probably going to have massive wheel hop.

lol, I dropped mine a long time ago, haven't had an issue with wheel hop in a few years, time to get back out on the track with the new combo and try it out.

i ditched my outer shock's, my 315-35-17 tires didnt get along with them very well, i havent had any wheel hop problem's, just see what work's for you.
