Well if I remember correctly most joysticks use a serial port, I believe that's what they are but I haven't had to use one in a long time. Sometimes you can find a port on your soundcard but I don't think any of the newer computers do that anymore. Your best bet is to look below where you plug in your mouse and keyboard, there should be one fairly near to there. As for memory moc was right in saying more is better, I'd even go as far as to say a minimum of 256mb on a new comp and 512mb if you're going to be doing more than word processing. However, what moc is talking about plugs into your motherboard and is something you can only access from opening your case, which I don't think is what your asking about. I think you're talking about sony memory sticks which are used in some digital cameras, camcorders, and several other electronic devices. If you don't have anything that uses it then forget about, but keep it in mind when shopping for new stuff.
