Results from the track
Well i have made my conclusion..the hell with big tires and hello to small tires. I went PAST my previos best of 4.58 in the 1/8th tonight and better'd it with a 4.42 174mph!!! This is on small TRUE 10.5 TIRES!!! I was completly stunned. All this time the big tires were slowing me down?? Car never spun off the line..hooked and went. Back on the wheelie bars HARD enough to throw sparks..that's what my buddy who was backing me up and staging me etc told me. I noticed that when i rev'd it when i staged that several of the people next to the starting line held their ears I figured it would have went slower with the smaller tires, and the heat. But boy was i wrong. I redlighted early in the race..think i got to happy but oh well i'm hooked on this small tire stuff. I set the et record in the 2nd round Good thing is car should be on Rockingham's website in a couple weeks. Steve Earwood track owner..took some pics of it and is gonna put it on his page under the multimeda section.

Maybe you just got the right launch and with less friction from the narrower tire you came ahead?
Congrats on the wicked time! |

I don't know what it was. I figured all that hp and small 10.5 tires it would just blow them away on the launch. I launched it off the two step at 6700 rpms and it NEVER spun. It just threw me back and held me there. I'm amazed.

Nice times man. You know this, but smaller tires give you more gears out back=better launch. If you can keep 'em hooked, run them down the 1320 and give us a 200mph trap man.
Keep up the good work.

Sky, the 60ft on that run was a 1.07. I'm thinking about running alot of 10.5 tire races now. It's ALOT of fun. Belle I am full of surprises aren't I? lol
