|  Retarded 2.3 no I didnt mean it is dumb...btu does anyone know if you can retard timing on a 2.3? as in for NNNNAAAAAWWWWWSSSSSSS I am thinking about buying a 50 shot for it....just for a little "pull-out-in-front-of-someone" power

| Depends on the year. 1991+ had DIS. I don't know about them, but prior to that they had a distributor and yes, you could retard it. I was timing mine a few years ago and didn't pull the spout. Took me a couple to figure out why it was running like a Model T, LOL. |

| Well, for the DIS motors to my knowledge, you can't retard it. It's set by the magnetic pick-up that is off the crank. You might look into MSD, they might have something that can hook up to a DIS ignition system. MSD is the bomb!!! (IMO) I'm sure your not the only one that has thought about putting0 "NAWZ" on a DIS motor |
