Rice Hater's Club poll and info.
 

I was out walking the dog when this idea struck me. It's been kinda nagging at me and I developed some ideas right off the bat. How about someone create a RHC webpage? I know that this is just some little deal created on this B-Board, but it's just a thought. We've got like what, 30 "members", and more wanting in all the time!

Right now we're kind of a "loose nit" type deal. (Technically, this "club" is more of a joke on the message board). I say we make it REAL. We've got the members. The t-shirt idea, believe it or not, is actually GOOD, I think. It would be a way to reach out to more people and "advertise" our organization and attract more members (specifically, you men and women being pulled to the dark side!).

We see imports and rice boys as jokes. Why not make fun of them even more? We could take snaps of their cars and post them on the site for all to see. We could have a Q&A thing setup for people. We could have some fun with this, I believe.

That, or I'm taking this way too seriously.

I think its a cool idea. As long as we explain that ricers aren't ALL import cars, just the ones dressed up to LOOK fast and go slow. We could sell T-shirts, and also post hate mail that people have sent us. Wait a minute... This just came to me. What you thought of doing had already been done! check this out www.riceboypage.com

Yeah, I know what a ricer is. Somebody who drives a piece of $hi* car and thinks that it's all go when it's nothing at all. We've got plenty of them in Poplar Bluff.

Maybe we need a legal disclaimer on that.

I've seen that page. It's pretty neat. But I'm talking about a CLUB site, not just one person making fun of these cars and the whole rice boy fad.

It could be more than just about hating ricers too. We could have a site about Mustang owners, their cars, etc... Or maybe we could have something like a merging of the two concepts.

You could have a member's forum on the club members and their rides.

I'd say that the majority of the site would be geared towards hating ricers. We could have something like a monthly newsletter.

I dunno, I think I'm getting ahead of myself.

I've got my own site through Geocities. It's one of those free web hosting things. I also have a message board (again, free). It's hosted by Beseen. The've got alot of free addons to websites that you can use.

Anyways, I want to see what the people reading this thread have to say, and what the poll reveals.

But I think we shoud ltry to get this club off the ground..They're are enough members placed strategically across the U.S. and Canada that one person ( who ever ) could handle all supplies, shirts, stickers, etc. etc. and send the necessasary supplies to club members to ahve at thier local shows and such. If a person in Washington state wanted to join he could at a local show where a felow Mustangworks member ( only because thats where the club origannly started ) had a table set up selling shirts and stuff. We must also welcome Camaro, Vette, Firebird and etc. owners as well. It cant be mustang exclusive.

I think the idea of having our own forum is a good idea. From there, it can go wherever but I think a Rice Hater's Forum would be hilarious.

Ok, we've had 18 votes for the poll. The majority says go ahead with website idea. So, I have. I've got an account set up with Yahoo's Geocities. I've had experience dealing with there stuff in the past so I figured out why not give it a shot for this idea. The url is http://www.geocities.com/ricehatersclub

So, if you've got any pics of riced out Hondas, Integras, or even Mustangs and F-bodies, I'll be taking them now. I'll try to work on this page as much as possible over the next few days.

It probably wouldn't hurt to have a list of the current members either.

Let's also try to get GM and Mopar guys on this too. I'm sure they've got some things they'd like to say as well.

Okay, since this looks like a go, I went ahead and bought the url RiceHatersClub.com. I also arranged to have it forwarded to the index page you listed above. I agree...I thought the idea was cute when we were just playing around, but now you're just giving them WAY TOO MUCH ATTENTION that they don't deserve.

Hey Odie, right now things are pretty quiet. There is (was) a ton of work to do, but that dam PKRWUD just got most of it done on his own!:eek:

You can help by going by typing www.ricehatersclub.com into your browser, going to the message board and registering. Then you'll see what Chris has been up to.

As soon as there is a project I'll let you know. Many members want to help out. Crab your camera and take some good pictures of rediculus ricers!
