From ricer land!!!!!!

Well guys....I am not sure if any of you has ever been to Japan but they play by a whole other set of rules here. As a side trip me and a couple co-workers here decided to take the company credit card and test drive a few of the ricers out here. Don`t worry I haven`t even come close to crossing over to the dark side. I was not all that impressed with any of the Hondas a drove except for the S2000 and let me tell you...there is no such this as performance limiter chips over here like there is in North America. I was impressed with the Rally edition Supras..330hp stock!!! and then I was thouroughly pleased y\to find a Ferrari dealer........very nice although the deposit was $10,000 the company card covered it but we had to have a dealer along so that we didn`t shred the car. Out of all the cars we tried out I would have to say that my favourite was the 2001 Subaru Imprezna WRX Rally edition.....over here 400hp stock and does that mother f*cker fly!! Other than that all the cars over here are small fuel efficient pieces of garbage...there are no full size trucks unless you import them and the only thing ricer about the cars is the big tail pipes and the odd looking wing. Under careful examination I have a slightly new found appreciation for the real cars from Japan and not the wannabe ricers from home. But I am flying home to Canada today so I hope to talk to you all soon.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. But you should've checked out some Nissan Skylines. Did you?

Now that is cool, I know Japan is really high in population was there alot of room to open those bad boys up? Also what are there speedlimits over there like? Just curious.

You used the company credit card to pay $10,000 to test drive a Ferrari????

Why would you have to pay that much to test drive a car in the first place?

I am sure it was a refundable deposit.......an insurance policy by Ferrari to make sure no one that isn't really interested in it comes and "test drives" them. I have been known to "test drive" new cars...it is quite entertaining.....

Ahhh.......I see now...thanks inferno. I was thinking that was a little rediculous.

I haven't even ever tried to go test drive a new car. I'm only 17, I doubt a whole lot of dealers would let me take a car for a spin myself, or with a friend. And none of the dealers around here are cool or anything so they wouldn't let me drop the hammer on anything. :(

I've seen the commercials for that car and it is impressive looking, thats for sure. Isn't it turbocharged? I wish the cars here in the states were sold with the same chips as over there. That's impressive!
