I know that most hardcore musclecar fans aren't into a "PHAT"( http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif)sound system but I was curious of who took the time to install a nice system into their car as well as do engine mods.

I just bought my '96 3.8, and am planning to do both. Actually, it already has a somewhat decent sound system in it, and I was going to install a box with two Pioneer 10" ported. Now of course, I'm going to want to add a supercharger to make up for the weight I added to the car http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif.

I do not want the extra weight in my mustang. I had a Toyota Celica that I knew had no chance of going fast so I wasn't even going to try but I did build a stereo that did a 163 spl outlaw and 156.9 spl in the 3-4 sub class at the spring break nationals in Daytona beach fl.
Here are a few pictures of it.

I'm working on it. I'm just going for a 4 channel amp, a sub box, and some mid ranges to replace the rear speakers. Cuz, let's face it, 1984 car audio systems aren't exactly the pinacle of hi-fi. I don't want the extra weight, but with a new engine coming this summer, it should be able to pull a few extra pounds.
