Post Ricer Terminology

Here are some translations of common rice racer sayings. (I know it does not apply to all Japanese cars. SupraTT, 300zTT, NSX, and RX-7 are exempt)

It is highly modified = It has a K&N filter, Plug Wires, and a 5" Exhaust tip.

It is almost race only or barely streetable = above plus cat-back, custom wheels, and a wing.

It is a 5.0 killer = It once beat a stock 85 GT 5.0 automatic convertible with 2.73 gears and 175,000 miles.

That Mustang was scared to race me = I revved at him while we were at a light with a cop right behind us.

I outran the cops = The police car ignored me because my car is so slow that he could not tell that I was trying to race.

Tom351, You forgot:

Light Modifications = blackedout lights and/or window tint and stickers in windows

It's "Lightning fast" = Can hit 90 mph!

You left off a few more:

I picked up 12 horsepower from my headerS = when in actuality they only have one header

My friends car can beat yours = my car is a slow POS that can't beat yours but I have a friend that I think can

But my car creates 100 hp/l and yours only 50 hp/ liter (just a guess) = my car is slower than yours but, I still need an excuse as to why I lost to you

Ah ricers...gotta love em' If it wasn't for them , We'd have noone to pick on

id race you but i got my 18" rims on and my system in the trunk=my car slow but i got good escuses

ill race you once i get my turbo put on=i saw a car like mine in a magizine with a turbo that could maybe beet you

yea this is a real type "R"=it should be with all the $$$ i dumped into it making it look like one

id race you but i am out of NOS=the bottle was never filled its just for show

Let us not forget.

I've got an intake and exhaust = K&N, 4" tip.

My turbo gave me 100 RWHP on my Civic

My Integra is supposed to gain 66hp from a full exhaust, so when I get that on there, you're in big trouble!

My ground effects give me better aerodynamics so I gain like 20mph on top end.

I have a friend who has a Civic Si, it's running low 13's with just a turbo. He'd smoke your *** !

Yeah, you can beat me in a straight line, but since Mustangs are all old technology they can't corner. "What about the '99GT that whooped the R on the road course?" Oh, that was like because it's all that new technology in the suspension, and the SCC drivers just couldn't drive!

"You might win if we race around cones in a 300 sq. foot parking lot"

Hi,
It's supercharged = I attached a hair blowdryer to the intake

It's got NOS = stolen fire extinguisher painted blue with NOS logo printed on paper and then taped on (I almost convinced one of my ricer friends to do this)

It's funny how Mustang guys try to hide their NOS bottles, while ricers make fake ones and put NOS stickers on their cars to look like they have it. The whole ricer scene is more about looking fast than being fast.

my mustang handles quite well and i do beat alot of the imports in a 300sq ft parking lot

Right on mighty notch, what I mean is they only have a chance if the turns are so common and so tight that HP is no longer an issue because you never get above 30mph
