Roll Call: Old School MW members sound off!

I was just reviewing some of my old files, and I came across the letter and database I made of the members that contributed to the purchase of gift certificates for the staff members a couple of years ago. I just wanted to see who is still around now. Here is the list:

Skyman (we know YOU'RE still here)
Chris Mikol (didn't he get married to a fellow MW'er?)
Jason "Hethj7"
Kat "Luvmi93"
Joe "JL1314" (present)
Mad Horse
Pork Chop
Stanglady
Kell "Unit5302" (present)
Lou "Bangalou"
Paul "ByrdPE"
Dr. Dan "Danbo"
Ed "2quk4u"
Quin
dan "95ragtop"
Peter "Buzz"
Ian "88Cobra"
"Rbatson"

And there are a few others without member names (that submitted them) on the list. ;)

OH yeah I can't forget Chris "PKRWUD" since he helped me with the whole gift certificate deal.

Mr 5 0 01-29-2002 11:16 AM

Still here!

Alive and well and coming up on five years as a member (and later a staff member) of Mustang Works online!

Proud to be a part of Dan McClain's ongoing project and expect to be around for many more years.

joe4speed 01-29-2002 02:13 PM

I remember all those guys (and girls!) I wonder where they all go? You see so many people come and go, sometimes it's hard to keep track!

matt cook 01-29-2002 02:19 PM

I remember that time, I was just too poor to contribute...didn't the site have a nice 'yellow' motif then?

silver_pilate 01-29-2002 03:10 PM

I was around as well. And like Matt, I was too poor to contribute (hell, I still am :) ).

I was looking over that list, and I remember most of 'em. It's been a while since I've seen some of those names, though.

I may not post as much as others, but hey, I'm still a Mustangworks junky. I remember getting some of my first advice on what to do to my car from Mr 5 0. And I was on getting information a couple of years before I found my Mustang. In fact, I actually started watching the boards in 1997 before the board switch. Good to see the old faces are still around.

I don't remember that so i guess i am not old skewl :( I am gonna go cry in my cheerios now.

Unit 5302 01-29-2002 04:29 PM

Unit 5302 responding. There are a few people who had a lot of posts back in the day that are no longer here. It's weird.

Chris Mikos married Nycool/1fastchick I think she had another name too. You can find her on www.sportbikes.net I think. Maybe him too?

PKRWUD 01-29-2002 05:36 PM

I hate to respond to anything that has the word "old" in it, but yeah, I'm around. I was gone for about 16 or 17 months, though. Kat has moved , but not too far, and runs the website under my name in my sig (Unit knows all about that site;) ). Rick (rbatson) is around, too. He doesn't go to the Windsor forum much, but he's here. In fact, he called me for the first time the other night, and we sat and laughed about things for a half hour. Chris Rock (Mach 1) was here then, and is still around today, too. I'm not so sure what happened to the others. Hopefully this thread will bring them around.

Take care,
-Chris

Godslayer 01-29-2002 06:24 PM

.....

I'm still here although I don't read the posts as much as I used too. Also my prior posts were lost so, there goes my evidence.
I'm surprised no one mentioned me... I'm hurt :)

PKRWUD 01-30-2002 12:58 AM

I definately remember the name!

Bring back some memories...

Take care,
-Chris

Yes Nikki (1fastchick) is moderator of the Women Riders section. They are engaged. Although I grew tired of the message boards and am no longer a member, the site is indeed packed with info for current/future riders.

Thats true Ian you have been here a while...

Mustangbelle306 01-30-2002 08:45 PM

I went to Nikki's website and left a message in her guestbook informing her about this thread :)

MTU 50 01-30-2002 11:06 PM

I remember those names although I only posted once in a blue moon back then, and most of it was in the Windsor help forum. I still don't post all that often, but I'll chime in every now and again.

I think I was poking around on here for about 6 months before I decided to join.

MW is set as my 'home' on Internet Explorer, and I always check this board first when I get on the net.

MUSTANGWORKS RULES!!!! :)

I'm still around. It's been over 3 years now! Amazing how fast time goes. I don't have as many posts as some, but I enjoy reading many many posts.

As I've said before, and will say again now...

This is a great site with great members and moderators and great information.

Take care of yourself, girl.

1fastchick 02-05-2002 12:13 AM

awww I feel so special. :) When I get another stang i will be around more often.

StangFlyer 02-05-2002 03:51 AM

Nycool (aka: 1fastchick): What's been up girl? Been way too long since we've been graced with your presence around these forums. Hope you get another Stang and become a regular again soon! :D

I remember that pic, why that's a pic I snapped of you in my Mustang at the Woodward Cruise in 2000. Way cool! You, Chris, and I will have to meet up at the drag strip or at a cruise spot this summer...

02-05-2002 04:02 AM

1989GT 02-05-2002 04:33 AM

Still here!:D

1fastchick 02-05-2002 10:30 AM

Well we are always at lapeer and then we are willing to go to Milan dragway! :) Now if someone would just have that spring time BBQ we would be all set :) I miss BSing and talking with you. Still had a blast at the Pistons game last year :)

StangFlyer 02-05-2002 10:43 AM

1fastchick - Either one of those tracks works for me. Milan is closest to my house, and Lapeer is close to where I grew up and my mom's house (about 15 or 20 mins away tops). Guess I'll have to buy a crotch rocket and ride with you guys this summer - huh? :D

Everyone - And, for those that have never seen our feature article on 1fastchick and her fiancee Chris, check out our Stang Love feature located in our articles - features section. Also, here is Chris' Mustang in the User's Rides.

drudis 02-05-2002 01:27 PM

Thanks, I was the RECIPIENT of one of those.

1fastchick 02-05-2002 04:18 PM

Stangrrr 02-05-2002 05:12 PM

Wow, I just realized that I've been a member for over 3 years now! Cool!

exgmguy 02-05-2002 06:11 PM

I am still here! My car went from 14's to knockin' on 10's since I have been a member here.

Chris Mikol might be happy to know that his old motor that I rebuilt is still rumblin' between the shocktowers of my Mustang.

Tell him I said hi.

Rob

LX XLR8R 02-05-2002 06:59 PM

Beautiful car!!!!!!! I will tell him since it will brighten up his day (he is sick) He was wondering how you were doing and everything just the other day. So where do you run the beast?

StoplightWarrior 02-06-2002 12:04 AM

I was a lurker beginning in early 99 when I had my 95 auto v6 (thing was fast... ) and finally signed up in 2000 when I started modding it. It's cool to see some of the first members coming out of the woodwork.

exgmguy 02-06-2002 06:17 AM

I am usually at Ubly. I don't like Lapeer too much so I try to stay away from there. Our car club has a bunch of races this year at different tracks, so that will be nice to see something different.

www.motownmuscle.com

1fastchick 02-06-2002 09:20 AM

well maybe we will just have to make it out tp ubly at one point of time :)

hehhehmule 02-06-2002 07:29 PM

Been a long time since I actually put words to keyboard. So long the reply screen made me feel even OLDER. Man where did all that stuff come from.

FWIW to those that care, the old S-code is undergoing a MAJOR restomod project. Complete with 427 crossbolt and (possibly) T56, this should prove to be an interesting ride. The 88 still sports the same combo, the ranger is still playing nice solid lifter music, and the Z28.....well, less said about it the better I guess.

95mustanggt 02-07-2002 10:52 AM

I'm not exactly an "old School" guy, but I've been around for quite a while.

How do you know when you are and "old mustangworks" guy?

I even remember when StoplightWarrior had his V6 :).

Got to admit this place does have a cozy feel to it, almost like home. :)
