Default GREAT deal on Nitto DR's....check it out!!

I just ordered a set of Nitto 555 drag radials from Discount Tire Direct. I was looking around on the site and saw the price on the 225/50/16's....$65.00 each!!!

I know, I know...I would have rather had 245/50's, but this price was too good to pass up, and when I compared the contact patch on the 245's I have on the back versus the 225's I have on the front, the amount of tread on the pavement is really very similar. My narrow rims don't allow all of the tread to contact the ground on the 245's...it kinda curls it around on the sides, and I may actually have just a bit more tread on the ground up front.

Anyway, I picked up two of 'em for $141 with tax and everything and free shipping. These tires usually retail for around $124 EACH.

Anyway, these tire have to stick better than the bald Dunlops I'm running right now.

Just thought I'd give you a heads up...the price is only good as long as their supply lasts.

The only size they have for 15" rims is the 205/45/15. They go for $76 each.

The 225/50/16 is the only size on special for $65. I couldn't pass up that price. For comparison, the 245/50/16 sales for $138 each. "Ouch" said the pocketbook.
