I think stuff like that is too cool. I'm all for cybernet augmentation. Think of all the people that could be helped. Sure there are some cases that stuff like that could get abused, but, they are rare.

People often say that if it goes in the wrong hands..... But truth is, the guys that are going to do "evil things" with these technologies are going to do it whether we develope usefull ways or not. So we might as well go ahead and develope the good things too, right? |

Someday Blind people will be able to see just as well as we are. Lots of human body parts will be able to be replaced.
Have anybody seen the OBD III article in the GMHTP this month about motors running wihtout Camshafts? The valves are controled elecrotnically by the computer. Can you imagine the potential? Complete street driveability and extreme performance at the same time! Flick a switch and overrun the current program with an aggressive lobe, lift, duration one to get a real screamer! Plus, less parts to move, less power lost. But if one of your valve actuator screws up you're in trouble! What do you think about that folks? |

How about the engine that is supposed to run by transferring fuel from one side to another without ever burning any of it. I'll try and find a link...its an old idea but its getting new attention lately.
Anybody remember what its called??.....I have no idea. |

I can't seem to find the original article I read. It was quite some time ago that I read it so I could be mistaken and be thinking of the Bourke Engine instead. I looked and looked but can't find it. I do remember it talking about it being an old idea but it had been pretty much abandoned due to instability or something. Some new invetor was supposed to have fixed some of the problems and was trying to give it a comeback.
I thought it said something about fuel flowing from one side of the engine to another with 0 loss of fuel. It had something to due with heat produced from the fuel. I apologize and if I find it I'll definitly post it on here. The Bourke Engine is here . This might have been what I was thinking about and just got mixed up about it. Again, sorry I couldn't find it for you, its pretty interesting. ------------------ 1966 Baby blue Coupe, 289, Manual 3-speed, Edelbrock 650, Flowmaster 3-chambers, and minor upgrades.
