Selling the GT
Dude, my GT is for sale...if anyone wants it, it's super clean and well maintained. It only has 20k miles on it, and I've put $5k into it. I'm asking 18,900. Feel free to email or PM me with any questions. I just can't afford the payments anymore...well, i can, but I dont want to have to keep spending all my money on it! My loss, someone's gain!!

I know exactly how you feel bro. I was thinking of selling my 89 and I really really hate to do it. I've had this car since 91 and I was 22yo, a big part of my youth. I mentioned it to my dad and I could see the disappointment in his face, he still misses his 68 Cougar XR7. He asked what I wanted for it. I told him I could part it out and get $9k maybe 10 and he looks at mom and says "you always wanted a convertible". I don't think he wants me to get rid of the car, I'd love to sell it to him. Mom thinks its too much for her, it is. Maybe I can take the blower off and do a few things to make it more streetable for them to drive. If I can sell it to him for $7500 with the condition that I have first opt if he ever sells it, then that would work for me and I could still play with it some.
Selling a part of the family isn't easy, I know. I hope it works out for you and if I was in the market... I'd definitely be interested. |

Yeah, I do love this car...I mean, I drove it off the lot with 4 miles on the odometer!! She's like my first love, and I feel like a de-virginized her when I first punched it after proper break in period. Maybe I'm too into cars, but we really grew together...unfortunately, she's a money grubbing ***** sometimes, and she's gotta get the boot! The cobra is paid off and treats me better...sure, she might not be as good in the sac as the GT, but she loves me for me, and doesnt spend $340/month of my hard earned money. She is content to sit in my garage night after night while I'm out tearing it up in the GT, and she never gets jealous. Im a one-woman...i mean car...kinda guy, and for now, that one car will be the cobra.
