VHS to .mpg format?
I have some VHS footage of my car that I'd like to convert to .mpg format to share with everyone the thrill I experienced a month ago at Cordova... how do I go about doing so? I could maybe send a copy to whomever has the ability to do this...
I tried using my digital camera to record the footage off my t.v., but the file type is .avi and takes forever to upload... so I gave up on that. Anyone know how to convert an .avi file over to .mpg format also? Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated, of course T.I.A. -Ryan |

You might check out http://www.doom9.org/
They have a lot of useful stuff there, although I'm not sure how much it will help you with what you want to do. |

What you need is a video capture card. There are a few other ways to transfer it and convert it, but that would be the easiest(imo) way to do it. Also, the software with your camara should be able to save it in a variety of formats.
