I wouldn't worry about putting long tubes on your car yet. It's probably not worth it quite yet. Definitely do the MAF and TB like you said you were going to. Pulleys are a good idea. I'd do that.
You idea about starting on your suspension is a good one. Get some good shocks for drag racing and maybe some control arms.
I agree with you about nitrous being like cheating. I don't think it's really fair that at the flip of a switch you instantly make that much more power. I don't really see a blower or a turbo cheating, because it's always there. But like I said in my User's Ride section,
Nitrous is for cheaters.
