O.K. I'm clueless!
So, MR 5.0, what is this all about?
George Bernard Shaw (English playwrite) first coined the term
'ghoti' back in the early 20th century. His rationale was to show off his literary prowess and also to demonstrate how ridiculous the English language can be.
He wasn't entirely successful ('ghoti' never really caught on) but his example still stands.
Hey folks, I'm really sorry if I spoiled anyone's fun but when a post asks for a pronunciation, I don't know any other way to respond than with (what I thought was) the correct pronunciation. I just happened to be the first person to reply.
I could just as well have been wrong.
