Wow, Crazy stuff. I'm not sure what I would of quite done in that situation. Maybe the same thing, but only if I was alone. I don't want to take or hurt anyone for my chances of stupidity. But sometimes you have to let some things go. Especially if your risking others life. He could of jackknived and taken out other cars including you. If you don't care what happens to you that is fine but think of others and there familys.
