This may be called mustang works, but it's more of a ford site/fast car site than anything else. Alot of people on here have very open minds about cars and alot of different opinions and preferances.
Heck, this site has a "built ford tough" forum for trucks including standard trucks as well as lightnings. It's not an all V8 site either becuase there's alot of mustang SVO (2.3L), and V6 enthusiasts, i've even seen a few rare straight six 200 guys on here.
As long as you like fords, i'm more than happy to talk to you and i think most people on here will agree 
Don't think of it as getting rid of your mustang, think of it as passing between projects. You've got ford blue in your veins, that's good enough for me!
