Hmmmmm.

The chassis number is great. It backs up the cars history as a 429 Mach 1. The engine is a different story. It's date code is for the end of 1973, and that block casting doesn't make any sense. Try looking above where the starter mounts, and see what castings you find there. The connecting rod casting number is for a 1976 Ford Truck 460. I suspect that your engine is a 460. If you can see the counterweights on the crank, Look for a 2 digit or 3 digit code, beginning either with a 4 or a 2. 4's were 429's, and 2's were 460's
