I used to see black widows all the time in california they would hide out in behind wood and stuff. Can be scary if you don't pay attetion to what you are doing. Just step on them though no big deal.
As far as the daddy long legs that is not true it is just an old wives tale, and urban ledgened what ever you want to call it. There has never been any proof that they are the most posionous spiders. If you don't want to belive me here is the proof.
