Default AODE Shift Kits

i just started to look around at these things....most are saying quicker downstifting, higher rpm shifting, shorter and firmer shifts...and some of them kill the entire automatic process and make the shifting completely up to you....most also claim to not add extra wear on the transmission...

does anyone have any experience with shift kits for the AODE? are they worth looking into to increase performance out of my transmission...by performance i mean being able to shift it manually without hurting the hell out of my tranny...

any info you guys have on these things would be great...i know ill prolly look into a tranny cooler at some point in the near future too...are they easy to install or should i have a shop do that?

thanks for anything..
