I put a valve body shift kit in my '94, it was really no different than doing any other transmission. In fact the only difference was when pulling the valve body out, there were a few electrical plugs to pull out.

The one I got was an Art Carr. It was easy to install and shifted great while leaving it in drive. The only thing I didnt like about it was when shifting manually, it shifted soft. Im sure it was just a problem with the Art Carr kit, and not something that is associated with all of them.

If I had it to do over again, I would try a trans-go kit. It seems like a more complete kit, its priced good, and it even comes with an instructional video.
