well, I couldn't be happier... unless the car ran a bit better.
Considering it has been sitting garaged for 19 years, it runs well. However, trying to find first is a real trick. It's hard to tell where the cutover is. Once you start rolling, it shifts fine. The gearshift does shake a bit when running. It's also a bit noisier than I remember, but again, it's 37 years old in March. Surpisingly, the suspension isn't too bad. I was concerned I would need to replace the shocks and springs, but it rides fine - so that's on hold.
Anyway, I've posted a message in Classics section for some help on the next bit of work I need to do. It's great the car's back on the road.
