Monday March 15, 2004-
Call and speak to Jeff on the phone and order a 3” diameter 58” in length driveshaft for my s-10 project. He informs me that you cannot order a aluminum driveshaft in that length. I go ahead and order the 3.095 steel driveshaft for $275 + $95 for the input shaft for the turbo 400 transmission. He said it takes about 3 days to build and another 3 days to ship. I am only 1 1/2" hour away from them.
Wednesday March 24, 2004-
I email Moser checking on the status of the driveshaft and receive no response.
Thursday March 25, 2004-
I email Moser checking on status, Robs response said that Jeff called and left a message on my answering machine that they cannot make that driveshaft because its to long for aluminum.
I respond that Jeff told me that on the phone and I went ahead and ordered a steel one from him
Rob responded that he will check into it and get back with me
Friday March 26, 2004-
I email in since I haven’t heard from Rob. I once again ask for the status and Rob emailed back wishing to know with whom I spoke with Thursday.
I responded it was him!
He then must have a conversation with Jeff or something because he emails back that he looked at the wrong order and the reason that my driveshaft hasn’t been made is because they cannot make a 58” driveshaft with the 3.095 steel. It must be 3 ˝”.
Now..Why in the world do they wait 2 weeks to inform me that they cannot make this in 3.095. The only reason that I was notified of this is because I got ahold of them wanting to know why the delay
By now I am a little frustrated so I call in and talk to Ernie and I wanted to talk to Jeff since he is the original guy I placed the order with. Ernie said Jeff was on the phone, he took my number and said Jeff would call me in about 5-10 minutes. I wait for about 30-45 and no call, I call them back and they are closed…
Today:
They emailed back: Derek, you do want the 3 1/2 steel drive shaft for $295.oo????
I went ahead and ordered the 3 ˝ driveshaft from them. I wish there was somewhere else around here to order the driveshaft!!!
