I feel for you. I was lucky my house and two kids put stop to all the modifications to the car even renewing the registration was put on hold. But I stil have the car... sitting in the garage, I start it up every once in awhile but its there waiting for me to get time and money.

Wife, 2 kids, busy job, "fixer upper" house, and I still have time for the Mustang!!! I Love my kids!!!
