Hey Josh,
I'd love to help you out, but my '84 has the same brakes as yours (10"). Unfortunately Ford didn't decide to give mustangs bigger brakes until a couple of years later, so needless to say the braking isn't breathtaking at all.
Where do you live?
I'd be willing to sell you any parts....or heck, the entire car for a VERY low price - haven't really thought about selling it as a unit. (it runs and drives but has what i believe to be an odd/very bad and loud steering noise turning left). The HO 5.0L isn't a roller cam and it has 150k on the clock, but with the newer 600cfm Holley 4BBL and the Holley/Flowtech dual exhaust (headers, offroad-H, stinger cat-back and dynomax pipes) the thing scoots (it helps that it has a T5). It doesn't have an 8.8" rear, but it does have a 7.5" with traction-lok and tame 3.08 gears.....
I was going to have alot of the parts as crap in my shed to sell later or use as spare parts, so if you're interested that's cool, if not that's fine also.
I hope your car is ok from that accident, at least you didn't get hurt.
