What is good about FWD for racing? The weight transfer in a front drive is fundamentally wrong for both drag racing and handling; stepping on the accelerator transfers the weight of the car away from the drive wheels. Sure there are a lot of FWD cars that handle decently, but this isn't because they are FWD.
