Just got my X-BOX
This is sweet!
I have wanted one for a couple of months, finally got it yesterday. I only have 1 game so far, (Project Gotham Racing) but I cannot believe the graphics and realism. Truly incredible compared to our old Atari!!! (Space Invaders rocked!)

Yeah, I've been wondering how those things compare to the rest of what's out there. That Project Gotham Racing does look pretty sweet.
A buddy of mine got his girlfriend a Nintendo game cube for Christmas...they had it out and were playing with it the other day. It is extremely bad. --nathan

Nathan - when you say "It is extremely bad," do you mean bad as in good? Or bad as in bad?
I'm sure the X-Box is just bit better than my old Atari 2600 - do you guys remember those things?!?! How far they have come. I remember sitting in front of my parents TV set playing Space Invaders, Night Rider, Frogger and the like - gosh I'm getting old! E PS - where can I buy one of these X-Box's? It seems like nobody has them in stock.

Well, to compare it to the Play Station 2 would probably be about equal, but I'm really not sure. My brother has a PS2 and I played Gran Turismo 3 and I honestly like the Project Gotham better. I have not had it long enough to see if it has any mustangs in the game but I just got the Cosworth AWD Focus and it is pretty cool!

I can't give a complete opinion, because I haven't played project gotham, however I have seen screen shots and movies from the game. From looking at those and hearing what other people say, Gran Turismo 3 is still way better.
I have played GT3 multiple times and it does kick A$$. My brother already has a PS2, and since my mom works for Sony I am getting one for my christmas present this year. I would just use my brothers, but he might get a little angry if I take it 550 miles away up to school. Plus Grand Theft Auto looks absolutely sweet and I have heard nothing but good things about it. You get to drive around in cars and shoot people. What better way to releive stress. Plus the three environments are huge. Its still too early to tell if the X-box is going to pay off. PS2 already has a bunch of good games while the X-box doesn't have as many good titles yet. Not bashing X-box, but I prefer the PS2.

well although they all 3 will be about the same on graphics with a slight edge maybe to the x-box, when it comes to the games playstation 2 will be in the lead, i think the p2 is going to be the best game system outta the 3 but yet i own one

the PS2 is more for your money..you can play playstation games on it and PS2 games and DVD movies...it has 32MB of ram memory and runs at 300mhz..it uses DVD discs for games and it can run 75million polygons a second... very good graphics to say the least(dvd discs hold 6.4 gigabytes of data)
although it can push that meny polygons most games dont even come close...no reason for that much gamecube only plays gamecube games..odviously...it has 40MB of memory and runs at 485mhz and uses 3inch discs which hold 1.5 gigabytes...the cube is very small...graphics are a bit better then PS2 and the load time is cut down alot, big thing with cube is its 100 dollars cheaper then the others polygon performace is about 80-85 simillar to PS2 Xbox is one beefy machine..has 64MB of DDR memory(double date rate) and runs at 733mhz..it also has a 8 gigabyte hard drive comes with a network plugin(RJ45 jack) for online gaming. the xbox also uses DVD discs for games. one cool feature bout xbox is you can put music cd's in it and put the songs on the hard drive and use your own music in your games.the xbox is also HDTV ready. see..it takes longer for a system to pull info from a disc so what xbox dose is load SOME of the data onto the hard drive for quicker access. and as far as polygon performance..hold on to your pants but it puts out a womping 125 MILLION polygons a second..the bad thing is to watch DVD movies you have to spend a extra 30 on a dvd playback kit....OH yea..and the xbox is a damn tank..its almost the size of my VCR... i know all this cause i do my research and i also have all three game systems i couldnt pick just one

I JUST GOT MINE!!!! I JUST GOT MINE!!!
Ok, well my wife is wrapping it up and putting it under the tree til the 25th! She wouldn't let me get any games as she wants to at least surprise me with something. heheheh So what games should I tell her to get me? Please respond as I have no idea what this X-Box can do - I just read the article in the WSJ the other day and decided I just had to have one! FYI - the last gaming system I had was Sega Genesis so you get the idea about how far behind I am with this new stuff. Please give me game ideas Thanks! E

ok i guess ill add to this : ) i bought a game cube the day it came out BIG MISTAKE! the grafix are really sharp but thats about it..... the games that are out now are really quite sad i am sorry but i think i have had all i can take of mario and nintendos cartoon style games.... i was under the impression when i bought it that nintendo was going to come out with more Mature games not this cute crap that i have seen so far...
i must agree the XboX seems like the best bet for a good game system i am planning on dumping the GC and buying one also.. as far as GT3 for the PS2 i think it is still the best racing game to date but Project Gothams grafix look a lot better.. my $0.02

PONG ROCKS!!!!
Okay, that being said, keep in mind that Cube and Box only have 15 games each available. PS2 has just under 200, plus all of your PS1 games. Also, I have heard through the grapevine that PS2 is supposed to come down $100 in price after Christmas. Take care, -Chris
