Thumbs down Someone want to tell me what is up with Mustang GT-R's?

Okay, I about died laughing today... I was driving along, and I see this mustang, with a cheesy looking body kit. I get a little closer, look up, and yes, thats right, a "GT-R" badge, straight off a Nissan Skyline!!! WTF!! Compounding this car's homosexuality, is the clear taillights, fart-tip exhaust, etc... Worst of all, it was actually a Roush Racing Mustang this moron riced out! I didnt check to see if it was an auto...

Also, a guy out in Cali that I know, saw another mustang with a Nissan's GT-R badge on it. What the hell is up with this?

I sure hope I dont start seeing Type-R Mustangs... lol

It's all over the place. Just like the kids who chip the 5.0 badges off Mustang's to slap on their Honda's. (the real cheapasses peel the stickers off the 5.0 hp lawnmowers.) HAHAHA.

People with bad taste exist everywhere, just cause somebody owns a Mustang it doesn't exclude them from being stupid.

I ahte to be a defender of bad taste, but a friend of mine, who'll remain nameless, has a 99 GT with a Steeda Cobra R wannabe front air dam, Vortech S-trim, ROH wheels, BFG G-Force K/D's, and running low 12's. Oh, and he has a GT-R badge on the side. If he didn't own his own shop, I've give him hell about it, but since he went the performance route, I'll cut him some slack.

Nice car though. It's that gold color. Looks nice.

It was in MM&FF a few months ago. Not a feature, but still in the mag. Yeah!! My claim to fame.

I think I saw that car in MM/FF does it have a ram air hood. It was in with some pics from a car show. No offense, but if it's the car I'm thinking about it was really ugly.

These people who put type R emblems on thier cars are idiots and should be draged into the street and shot

have a nice day

Fake badging should be outlawed outright. Unless it has a RB26DETT under the hood, there is no reason for a GT-R badge. There are very few other Nissan cars that have a GT-R model, but everytime I look up, I see a Sentra or other car with a GT-R badge....people need to get a clue. If everything goes how I plan, I will have a Mirage with a Type R badge on it soon. Think about that for a second

No. No ram air hood. I know the one you're talking about, and that thing just plain sucks, no matter what's under the hood.

Nah, his car is fairly plain. Minus the R look a like front air damn. I'll see if I can find a picture of it so I can show you.

Later.

I'm not really into the whole gold thing. What's with the mark II side stripes.

Yeh, I'm not a big fan of the gold, the car looks like it's missing something or just doesn't look right. Maybe it's the colour thats doing it. Not to sure.

I like the gold just fine. Those cheap-*** lookin junk wheels have GOT to be ripped off and destroyed though. That and the "Mark D" or whatever his name is on the side.

Heh heh. The wheels are ROH whatever thier name is. That's the Mark II, the Mark I is a turbo'd 347 ex-Fla highway patrol car. It was a solid 10 sec car.

I admit that the Gold car is lacking something, but the power makes up for it. How about 440 at the wheels? Even if those wheels don't look good by themselves, the power makes them look damn good.

Heh heh, I'll let him know that he needs to update the rims on it.

I don't now where you are from in ont. but I was just in TO and it wasn't that bad there. Although I have to admit Dallas is just a tad bit warmer (21* when I got off the plane) .

I didn't see any rice when I was in Toronto, but soon as I got here tons of those guys.

Hammer and I went to Dallas Mustang one day a couple months ago, we saw some guy with the stupid "GT-R" badge. What a moron. They are obviously just putting on some letters that they think is cool. I'm surprised that I haven't seen any XR-7 mustangs out there.

I think the car is missing a nice red paint job with Cobra-R Wheels, and a nice spoiler on the back, wait, wouldn't that look just like the Corbra-R?!?!?!

Question, if a "GT-R" badge fools a ricer into thinking their car is faster, do you think some F-250 badges would fool the snow around here into thinking the stang is a 4X4? Then I could drive it year round, and baffel the local ricers.

And the gold colors got to go.
