2 garter belts in one summer!

I went to one of my highschool friends weddings yesterdays. It was a good time and I got to see a lot of old friends I haven't seen in a while. So it gets to that time when the bride throughs the bouquet and the groom throughs the garter. All the guys line up for the garter throwing, Dan the groom turns his back and flings it over his shoulder. It is coming in my direction a couple feet to my left. This guy Brian who is about five four jumps in the air to grab it, completely misses and I stick out my arm and it falls into my hand. Apparentley this means I am the next one to get married. Ther scary thing is my friend Chris got married in May and I happened to get that garter too. In both weddings there were about 25 to 30 guys trying to get the garter. What are the chances of me getting both of them and what exactly does this mean, I don't even have a girlfriend!

The probability that you get it twice in a row (assuming 25 guys each time) is 1/25X1/25=1/625 or 1 in 625.

I've caught a few myself, most recently from my best bud's wedding 3 years ago. I have come to the conclusion that catching the garter doesn't mean you are the next to get married, but rather you now have an unspoken insight as to why you should really avoid marriage! Think of it as your secret weapon, or "force field" against the one institution that I have seen ruin more great relationships than any other. Marriage.
